Assigning a Password to Transaction Types

A password can be added to transactions types for added security to your terminal. Please be sure to take note of these passwords and to write them down as we will not have them on file and will not be able to retrieve them for you.

Canadian Terminals

  • Press #
  • Press 6 for Security
  • Press 3 for Main Menu Passwords
  • Select the transaction type to assign a password to. Then select 2 Supervisor.
  • Press red X to go back to the welcome screen

US Terminals

  • Press #
  • Press 6 for Security
  • Press 2 for Main Menu Passwords
  • Select the transaction type to assign a password to. Then select 2 Supervisor.
  • Press red X to go back to the welcome screen

Once you have set a new password, contact Helcim Support at 1-877-643-5246, and let us know that you have added a password. A Helcim support team member will have to update your terminal file, in order to make this change permanent.
