Seasonal Accounts and Closures
Closing a Seasonal Account
Due to the vast array of seasonal business models, seasonal merchants MUST get in touch with Helcim to inform us when your season is over and you no longer require the account. Send an e-mail to email@example.com indicating your merchant ID number and that you want to close your account for the season. A member of the Helcim team will e-mail you a Seasonal Closure form. It needs to be signed and returned to us by fax (1-866-469-3077) or by e-mail as soon as possible as it can take up to 5 business days to process the closure.
If you have rental equipment to return, we will send you a postage paid box to ship the terminal to our deployment center. It can take 5-10 business days for the box to arrive at your location, plus another 5 business days after it is shipped to reach our deployment center – please allow sufficient time for the closure to be processed. Accounts must be closed and terminals received by our deployment center on or before the 25th of the month to prevent billing for the next month’s account and/or terminal rental charges.
Re-Opening a Seasonal Account
Send us an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org indicating your merchant ID number, the re-opening date of the account for the season and the equipment you require (unless you own the equipment). A member of the Helcim team will e mail you an Add-Equipment form and a Rate-Change form which are required to re-activate the account. These need to be signed and returned to us by fax (1-866-469-3077) or by e-mail.
Reopening an account can take up to 5 business days after the signed forms are returned to Helcim.
Request to Close Merchant ID
To close your merchant account with Helcim, call (1-877-643-5246) or send us an e-mail to email@example.com indicating your merchant ID number and the reason for the closure of the account. A member of the Helcim team will contact you and send you a closure form to print, sign and return to us. Your merchant account cannot be closed without this signed form.
Returning your Rental Equipment
If you are renting equipment, we will send a box with a pre-paid shipping label to your address so that the equipment can be returned to us. Please allow up to 2 weeks for the return box to arrive. Your rental fees will be deactivated once the equipment has been received.
Helcim does not charge contract cancellation fees or early termination fees. You can cancel your account with us anytime without penalty. If you are renting equipment, you will be charged the monthly rental fee for all months that the equipment is in your possession. We require 5 business days before the end of the month to process account closures in order for you to avoid the next month’s fees. All rental equipment must be received by our deployment center before it can be removed from your account and the fees stopped. Fees are not pro-rated.
