Managing Blog Settings

Add a blog to your online store to share updates and exciting news with your customers.

To access the online store from your Helcim Account, click on Online Store then Online Store Configuration. On the main Configuration online store page, confirm that the Blog option is set to On. When the Blog option is set to On, you will be able to see the options for Blog in the Online Store menu on the right-hand side of your screen. From the Blog landing page you can manage the content for your blog, including your Authors, Topics, and Articles using the menu options on the tabs in the middle of your screen.


You can add multiple contributors to your company blog through the Authors tab. All existing Authors will be listed on the main landing page. To add a new author, click on Add Author in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Use the text boxes to enter information for the new author. Name: Enter the name of the author that you want displayed on your website.
Biography: Use the text box to write a short description of who the author is.
Social Media: Toggle the radio button to On if you want to include links to the author's social media profiles.

Click on Save to apply your changes.

Deleting an Author
To delete an author from your blog, click on the Trash Can icon next to their name.

Editing an Author
To edit an author’s information, click on their name and then edit the text boxes. You can now edit their information, click on Save when you are done.


Click on the titles at the top of the main menu to change you screen to Topics. If you would like to add Topics to your blog, click on Add Topic. Next, enter the details for your new topic. Name: The title you want to use for the topic.
Parent: If you have existing topics you on your blog, you can add this new topic as a sub-topic of an existing topic that you had previously added. If you do not have any other topics, then you will not be able to select a parent.

Click on Save to apply your changes. You can now view all of your topics on the main Topics page. If you want to delete a topic, you can do so by clicking on the Trash Can icon next to the topic.


Clicking on Articles from the top menu bar will allow you to add your articles to the blog. Once you click on Articles,you will be able to see your existing posts. To start a new article, click on New Article in the top right-hand corner of your screen. You can now enter in the information for your new article. Author: Select the author for the post using the drop-down menu.
Topic: Assign the article to one of your existing topics if applicable.
Visibility: Use the drop-down to select if the article should be hidden or published. Published articles will be viewable by visitors to your online store.
Publish Date: Use the calendar to select the date you want the article to be published.
Title: This is the heading for the blog post.
Page Content: Enter the body content in this text box, you can format your text using the tool bar at the top of the text box.

If you toggle the radio button to On, you will be able to add additional details for the SEO of the blog article.

SEO Title: A searchable title that includes your main keywords for the article
SEO Tags: The keywords for your post
SEO URL: An easy-to-read descriptive URL for your article
SEO Description: A short description of your article used by search engines

Click on Save to apply your changes.

If you want to edit an existing article, simply click on the article from the list of available articles to edit the text. You can now edit any of the article fields. Click on Save to apply your changes. If you want to delete an article from your blog, click on the Trash Can icon to permanently remove it. You can also change the blog post to Hidden by editing it if you don't want to delete it entirely, but you want to remove it from your customer's view.
