Editing Domain Settings

Your Helcim Account provides you with a fully-hosted ecommerce store, including a secure SSL certificate.

To edit the domain settings for your online store, click on Online Store and Online Store Configuration, then select Domain Settings from the menu on the right-hand side of your screen.

To edit your Domain Settings, your online store will need to be active. You can check the settings of your store under the Configuration tab of the menu. Under General settings, the first option is Active, ensure the radio button is toggled to On and configure your online store settings based on your business needs.

Once your online store is set to active, you can edit your Domain Name Settings. Once you've clicked on Domain Settings from the menu, you can choose between three hosting modes including Default Subdomain, Domain Name Hosting, and Domain Name - Third-Party DNS.

Default Subdomain

The first hosting mode is Default Subdomain, this is the domain that Helcim creates for you. The domain name will be displayed below for your reference.

Domain Name Hosting

If you have an existing domain that you would like to use, or if you have a custom domain name, simply select Domain Name Hosting from the drop-down menu to enter your custom domain. Then, under the Your Domain Name text box, enter the domain you want to use. Click Save to apply your changes.

For more instructions, please read our step-by-step tutorial.

Is your domain registrar not one of the companies listed above? Simply give your chosen registrar a call and ask them how you can change your domain's nameservers to: ns1.helcimdns.com ns2.helcimdns.com

Do not enter https as part of your domain. You will need to wait at least 24 hours after completing these steps for the switch to be completed. That is the minimum amount of time it takes to switch DNS servers and get SSL certificates for your website.
